Theevandiyile Pattu Reflections of Real life in the Poems of N. V. Krishna Warrier
Name of Author :
Dr.Sreeranjini G
Abstract:
N. V. Krishna Warrier is the poet who redesigned the form and style of expression of Malayalam poetry during the decline of romanticism in Malayalam. The name Chattavar (scourge) that he gave to his first collection of poems justifies his intent and objectives in this respect. He remained steadfast in defying the moral, ethical, and material crises of his time. N. V. Krishna Warrier held the idea that poetry should always possess the fragrance of life. He conjured, in his poems, the traumatic experiences that he witnessed in life. He was very diligent in adapting to callous diction to represent harsh experiences of life.
